These were each released individually on the same day as the set... I think they should be counted individually. Thoughts?

I think I'm going to disallow both The Matrix Collection and Warner Legends.

If it's the Ulimate Matix Collection, the discs are not available separately.

I would agree with you. I'm going to disallow it.

So, all of the discs in the Ultimate Matrix Collection are unique to that set? Even the the Animatrix, etc?

About half the material on the Matrix set is unique to it (the commentaries, most of the extras and the transfer for the original Matrix) - everything else was and still is available separately.

Well, it seems Groucho agrees with you, but that's not the way I read the rule in the OP or I would have selected the Quadrilogy. I thought it couldn't contain a movie that was previously released seperately which makes more sense. What if the only difference between a movie in a boxed set and the indivisual release is the addition of dts? That would count? That doesn't seem right.

The 400 blows disc in the Adventures of Antoine Doinel collection is radically different than the original release to the extent of including the entire next segment of the "adventures" and a remastered picture quality (check the DVD beaver comparisons) as well as new art work on the box and disc. It would be like disallowing LOTR Fellowship EE because the Theatrical edition had come out previously. Additionally none of the films are currently available seperately and except for the 400 blows none of them ever have been. Doesn't seem to match with the current rules to disallow that selection.

Additionally that would rule out the Toy Box, Gone with the Wind 4 disc and many others since a bare bones original preceded those collections.

The individual Toy Story discs were released on the same day as the Toy Box, so I think it's still eligible.

Have we exceeded the number of players? I think I was 30. Darkhawk was 32. Groucho, Franchot's pick of The Honeymooners (which you currently have at #28) was a replacement pick for his ineligible #25 pick of Warner Legends, so put jigga6286 at #28. From now on, I think we should ask that anyone who is making a replacement pick, label it as a replacement and indicate what number it is in the post to make it easier for you.

I don't think it has anything to do with bare bones pre-releases... it has to do with box sets that contain the SE's that are individually available.
