It seems that most are against the "Trade Day" idea, so I will start the actual tourney tomorrow.

All round 10 picks are still due by 9am Pacific. After that I will put together the first bracket and post a new thread for voting. It will be a five-round single elimination tourney.

Does that mean all their stuff is back up for grabs? If so, I want The Indiana Jones Trilogy.

If not, I'll take A Chistmas Story: 2-Disc Special Edition for the block.

No, their stuff is not up for grabs (the trading round idea was voted down), so I'll put you down for a Christmas Story.

Geez, I feel like I'm back in high school with a term paper due.

Groucho-I would appreciate it if you would put John Woo in parentheses next to my first pick. I don't want anyone to confuse this pick with another Criterion disc(The Killers). Thanks.

I searched the first page with "LOTR" and "fellowship". LOTR only showed TT and ROTK. Fellowship nothing.
FOTR EE?! That could be a cartoon.

Repicking #10:

Is it OK that I have the WWII Collection featuring Saving Private Ryan? It's got 2 feature length documentaries, but so do half the DVDs in here. It's the only way to get SPR with DTS and any special features.

Would that not be your second box set?

Since we can't pick any of todays new releases (Ben Hur) I will select...Planet Of The Apes: 35th Anniversary Collector's Edition as my round 10 pick.

Groucho, a friendly reminder, when you update the list please fix my ET selection to read: E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial: Ultimate Gift Set. Thanks.

...and Let's Get RRRReady To RRRumbleeeee!!!!

Groucho, again, please update my list to reflect the fact that Back to the Future is the "Back to the Future: the Complete Trilogy" and that Shawshank Redemption is the 3-disc Deluxe Edition. Thanks!

Apparently you both missed this post:

that was made the last time you (ryu) requested the typing change. I think you're both fairly safe as people should assume the best versions were selected and in the case of Back to the Future, it isn't even available seperately.

Cameron's replacement pick: Director series: spike jonze

It looks like the only active player I'm currently awaiting a pick from is raining helper.

I'm going to put up the first round bracket later on today, but please be patient...it's going to take awhile.

Hey Groucho I'm interpreting my Saving Private Ryan as the WW2 Collection. Is that OK? I don't care what it says on the front page, I just want to know how to spin the pick.

DJ Longfellow has Nightmare on Elm Street (Box Set) and Hellraiser Tin (1/2) (Box).
Mhepburn20 has The Adventures of Antoine Doinel (Box set) and Looney Tunes Golden Collection.
Cameron has Edison: The Invention of the Movies and Looney Tunes Golden Collection Volume 2.
I consider videophile's pick of The Lower Depths to be a quasi boxed set because it contains two individual features.

Thanks.

I ruled earlier that the Looney Tunes collections were not boxed sets, so those are okay.

As for the other two, I'll need repicks for the most recently picked box set:

DJ Longfellow, please give me a replacement pick for the Hellraiser tin. If I don't hear anything by the time I post the new thread, I'll give you "Hellraiser".

videophile, please give a replacement pick for the Marx Brothers set. If I don't hear anything by the time I post the new thread, I'll give you "Duck Soup".
