Mikko, interesting concept. Your label creations seem to be top notch
In my case, however, I don't think I have the encyclopedic knowledge to know which studio is behind a specific film. I store my movies sorted alpahbetically.

I thought I would bring this year old thread back up for air.
A lot of people were bashing me for being OCD or bored. OCD yes. But only when it comes to my DVDs.
Yes, I still have my DVDs sorted by studio and then by color. Don't ask me why, but I just think it looks good. And believe it or not, I can tell you where every DVD is in my collection. It takes me 3 seconds to find something. I guess because I've been doing it like this for so long that I know where everything is.
I was thinking about sorting them by decade but my wife is already used to the way we have it now.
Maybe I should sort them like John Cusack's character in High Fidelity....autobiographical.

I think you should start over again and reorganize them according to the numerical order on their UPC codes.
Or organize them so when you step back you can see a bigger picture, like those posters with all the small photos that create one huge image. Now that would be challenging.
