Criterion to release 3 films by Samuel Fuller in 2006

from barry maxwell at the bits

In 2006, Criterion will apparently release three films directed by Samuel Fuller and currently held by Kit Parker Films. The titles are: I Shot Jesse James (1949, with Preston Foster), The Baron of Arizona (1950, with Vincent Price), and The Steel Helmet (1951, with Gene Evans). One of Criterion's October releases is expected to be a new restored version of Henri Clouzot's The Wages of Fear (1952).

Glad to hear it. I'm a Fuller fan, but haven't seen any of those three. Looking forward to doing so!

Yes (unless you count Sanjuro and Yojimbo).

White Dog is still owned by Paramount (not Kit Parker Films) and Paramount hasn't licensed anything to Criterion since the Robinson Crusoe on Mars LD.

I don't think that it has been announced yet by Criterion and we only have Spielbrik word for it. If he can provide links to the list of releases, it would help substantiate what he is indicating.

when Criterion reissues a title, they use the same spine. The supposed screen cap provided has the official Criterion site's URL in the title, like they got it from the official site, but as you can tell from the following link, the original cover is still there:
