Ned and Stacey: S1 -- Sept. 20th
From TVShowsOnDVD.com:
"Thomas Haden Church (Wings) stars as Ned, and Debra Messing (Will & Grace) stars as Stacey. Ned and Stacey is a short-lived (46 episodes in 2 seasons) series from 1995 in which two people who can't stand each other get married in an arrangement that is meant to help advance each of their careers, but over the course of time they each come to realize that the other isn't so bad after all. The cast also includes Greg Germann of Ally McBeal and Harry Goz of the animated [adult swim] show Sealab 2021.
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the September 20th launch of Ned and Stacey - The 1st Season. 24 episodes come on 3 DVDs that run 535 minutes long. Full-frame video is accompanied by English sound with closed captioning. The cost is $39.95 list price. Cover art isn't available just yet, but stay tuned."

I don't know why, but this show often made me laugh. And Charlie Kaufman was a writer on it.

Heh, I fell in love with this show when the USA Network used to do reruns in the morning. I'm not going to claim that this is some unheralded classic but I'm ecstatic that the DVDs are on the way. Church's character is such a ridiculous bastard.
"Ned, you've ruined Stacey's life, cost me that contract, and almost got Eric fired! What've you got to say for yourself?"
*pause*
"Now... comes Miller time."

I too found this on USA in the morning and got hooked. The one thing that irritates me is that it is season one not a complete series. I mean it is only 46 30 minute episodes. I mean you could have a 4 or 5 disc set and be done instead of dragging it out over two sets.

Being that it's only 2 seasons and now a huge financial commitment, I may have to pick this series up. I was a big fan of this show and was really disappointed when it was cancelled.

huh? Why not release Church's bitingly funny 'Wings' before this?

I think if Wings and Ned & Stacey had been from the same studio, they probably would have released Wings before this. Still, this is an entertaining show.

I'm all over this baby. Loved this show. Definitely watched it whenever I could when it was USA. I didn't really expect it to get released on DVD anytime soon though. But I should've seen it coming with Church and Messing's semi-popularity. Can't wait.

I'm definitely picking up this DVD set. Hopefully it means they'll be releasing FLYING BLIND soon too, since it was another Fox sitcom that lasted two seasons and had a future star in Tea Leoni.

Same here! The remaining episodes aren't on the same level as the first batch, but I always liked the continued descent into absurdity. Hopefully Sony sees fit to finish the series eventually.
