Shout! Factory has announced that on September 26th they will release Ned and Stacey - The Complete Series on DVD. Priced at $44.99 SRP, this 6-disc set will include all 46 episodes. It will also include an Audio Commentary on the pilot episode by the show's creator (Michael J. Weithorn, we presume), and a 20-minute Retrospective (including interviews with Debra Messing and Thomas Haden Church). Closed captioning is also included.

Wow. I loved that show. Will pick up this set for sure.
Too bad it's so light on extras.

Totally underrated, hilarious show. Not crazy about the price though. When it drops to $20 or so I'll pick it up.

As far as I can see, this isn't available on any streaming service, so the DVDs are the only way to watch it.

Re: Ned and Stacey: S1 -- Sept. 20th

Watched this a few weeks ago with the wife, who had never seen the show before, and for the most part it holds up. It's very much a 90s sitcom, but it has a dark, caustic, sarcastic streak too it that makes it stand out, and might've confused viewers at the time (I noticed a few bits and lines I felt were hysterical got barely a twitter from the audience).

The end credit bits that they do on a lot of the episodes, where they redo a scene from the show with a darker/stranger twist, shows that the show could've been a lot stranger than it was, although the season 2 Mr. Belvedere episode

The show does show is age in some of its sensibilities, such as an early Halloween episode where they play off a man in a female nurse uniform getting sexually harassed and assaulted for laughs. But it gets better as the show goes on.

Overall, I was happy to revisit the show, and my wife enjoyed it as a first-time viewer.
