There's nothing in the re-release thread mentioning anything about a BTTF 20th Anniversary Edition. Is this confirmed? What could we expect that is different then the current set?

Actually from what I heard, the 20th anniversary is only an international release to give Region 2,3 and others the same bonuses as the Region 1 discs.

There was a list of 2005 Universal releases that was going around a while back, with such titles as The Sting: SE, The Deer Hunter: SE, 12 Monkeys: SE, etc. Since most titles on the list have come to pass (except for The Game: SE, so far), it's fair to assume that the BTTF: SE (which was also on that list) might be coming, as well.

As to what they would put on it, as I've said before, the only big thing they could put on the disc would be the Eric Stoltz footage, which obviously isn't going to happen. A re-release for this title is unnecessary (though some people might be happy with having separate releases of all three films).

However, on the other hand, it would be sort of worth re-buying if they put all the films on one disc and all the special features (except, obviously, the commentaries) on a second disc. I've always thought that's how they should have done it in the first place. Although the films currently look good, it's a shame to have everything crammed onto one disc.

And yes, it might be nice to have a branching version with the To Be Continued.
