Batman Begins DVD release date?

Hello,

I have no idea how some people here find out release dates so quickly but I thought I'd find out if anyone knew the release date on this one. This was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time (FYI I disliked all the other batman movies so I'm not a batman fanboy). I remember reading posts while SW was still playing at the theatre on the release date so I'm curious if there is any info on this movie.

Thanks!

It'll probably be out by Christmas and will probably have a Nolan commentary. But no one knows anything as of right now.

You can be guarenteed that the moment after someone who posts on this board finds out the release date (or approximate release date) for Batman Begins that there will be a painfully obvious thread that will rack up several pages in the course of a few minutes that will remain near the top of the front page for weeks.

So if there's no thread, no one knows yet.

I think there was an approximate date a few months ago for the HD DVD version. It will be one of the first releases in the 4th quater. Depending on how it looks and price that film may push me over into the HD realm

lol. I would expect it before thanksgiving. Keep an eye out for release dates for the special editions of the other batman films as well, they will all probably come out that same day....

HD-DVD in the 4th Quarter - really!? wow, didnt expect it so soon. Good luck buying that stuff. At a grand a pop for a player, i think i'll pass. My Animorphic wide screen digital transfer in 420p looks just fine.

No release date yet, all you are going to get is rumors that it is going to come out in October along with the other Batman movies. It would be nice if it does hold to be true.

Look for an announcement when it leaves the top 10 weekly box office list.

Since its still raking in money, they wont announce the dvd yet.

Im guessing sometime in November to hit the holiday rush.

That would be one hell of a quick turnaround.
Wouldn't hurt my feelings if this somehow turned out to be true.

Is there anything you can say about the SEs of Batman and Batman Returns?

I really need those SEs to wash away the bad aftertaste of watching Batman Begins.

That's been Warner & Toshiba's plan all along. It'll be interesting to see if it happens since the actual HD-DVD specs aren't finalized.

I wonder if there is a way for them to make Batman & Robin watchable with some edits here and there. I don't think there is a way.

It's called a threadcrap. Do yourself a favor and look it up.

I personally can't wait for this release. Might have to watch it again before it leaves theatres.

I haven't read any release info yet either, but I hope if there are plans for a SE, Warner will give us a heads up before hand. I really liked this movie and would want the best version possible even if that means waiting.

Oh, and Burton's movies were ass in comparision. At least in the eyes of this 20 year comic book fan.
