Wallace and Grommit got a bonus disc at Wal-Mart called "Tail-Wagging DVD" and Doom had a bonus disc too.

The Doom disc contains three featurettes: one about the final battle sequence, one about the Rock's favorite restaurant, and a third one I don't remember off the top of my head.

All the Waiting and W&G bonus discs were packaged with full frame versions in my Walmart. Anyone find them with widescreen versions?

The Circuit City disc contains additional deleted scenes, outtakes, and a video commentary for one scene.

The Wal-Mart disc contains 20-minutes of additional video commentaries from Dane Cook, David Koechner, the girls on the rap video. It also has an additional original piece covering the Hollywood premiere with writer/director Rob McKittrick and Andy Milonakis.

As has been previously mentioned, the Wal-Mart disc (which is the better of the two) is only packed with the full screen versions of the two disc set.

That's a real shame that Walmart sometimes packs their bonus discs only with the fullscreen versions. They did this with Alexander too. Funny thing is that most of the people who buy fullscreen don't give a damn about special features at all. What a poor marketing decison.

Are you absolutely sure? Because I just came back from Walmart, picked up a copy of Wallace and Gromit with the bonus disc, and looked at the ratio, and I promise you it was widescreen.

He was talking about Waiting, not Wallace and Gromit.

Anyone pick up the Saw2 bonus disc at Walmart? Just wondering what it contains, and if its only available with FF Saw2.

It's not a bonus disc from what I've heard. It's only a two pack with another movie called The Ugly. But I could be wrong.

You are not wrong. It is in the usual Wal-Mart packaging (exclusive promo, limited time, etc), but it is just the movie, The Ugly, which can be found elsewhere.

So if I wanted to own this fairly mediocre movie (I can crap in my own thread, right?), I'd probably buy it at BB for the free comic book.

Looks like it's going to be a light week. Next week won't have much either, judging from the ads posted. DVDFanboy also hasn't updated.

Anyone else secretly happy when bonus discs aren't released? It makes buying so much simpler.

I'm with you there!

I have an obsession with getting these exclusives, and I often cringe when buying DVDs that I know I would never buy otherwise. I used to be worse, I'd be tempted to buy 3 copies of Saw2 this week for example. But now I don't go too far out of my regular buying habits. I probably won't get Saw2 at all for example.

I agree, when bonus discs come,it makes me angry. Like Waiting,Doom,Elizabethtown,I was gonna wait for to come out at Movie Gallery B2G2. But that was ruined.
And at 1st it looked like I'd buy 2 Waitings, but I bought the Wal-Mart Bonus Disc from a friend, who wanted the movie, but doesn't care about extras. Best thing about it? $0.02. So my Waiting is 4 F'n Discs. I think the Circuit City & Wal-Mart Bonus Discs were actually worthwhile.

I don't mind when there if a film has a bonus disc, I do mind however when there are two different bonus disc at two different stores. I have a very hard time deciding which one to go for. In the case of Waiting, I just went for CC because Walmart only had it with the fullscreen version. I also don't like when bonus discs only come with the regular version of a movie and not the deluxe set.

You have to buy a select warner brothers dvd from a section that they set up. I got the Ben Hur Special Edition for example.

I've decided not to count those.

They charge $5 extra to get the "bonus" movie, and you can usually find that movie for $5 or so everywhere.

I'll list them sometimes, but I'm not going to go out of my way to get all of them, since they are not "exclusive".
