Just a quick question while I take a break from my birthday festivities. A couple of days ago, I received MOONLIGHTING: Seasons One and Two as a gift from some of my co-workers. I've been viewing some of the special features and among them are promo spots for the series' debut back in '85. These promos are a neat (though dated) treat, but I noticed there are numerous incidences of visual glitches throughout them. The glitches usually appear right on top of the word "Moonlighting" at frame top and appear to be the sort of glitches that are evident when a videotape has been played or paused too many times. I'm 95% sure I'm seeing analog glitches found on the original source used to bring these promos to the DVD, but it's that remaining 5% that wants to make sure it's not a playback glitch with my actual DVD. Can anyone double check these promos to confirm whether or not these glitches are from the dubbing source, or is it just my DVD? Thanks in advance...

It's the original source. I have the same problem, but didn't pay attention to it because maybe it could probably be that some fan had it on vhs and sent it to them so it could be filled with extras.

As already noted, it is indeed the source material and not a problem with your specific DVD.

Yep, all the promo spots were on the same tape, and that tape obviously had a bit of damage. Just be happy to have 'em.
