The commentaries are probably my favorite parts of the UTB... I've probably listened to them more than the movie's regular audio.
It wasn't an all new commentary. I directly compared the opening of the commentary on the UTB Toy Story 1 disc to the new 2-disc edition, and they are exactly the same. Unless they just used the exact same opening and re-recorded everything else, it's the same commentary.

Huh. I wonder why the DVD Talk review says it's an all new commentary. I was going to pick up the re-release of TS1 for that... at least rent it... but it doesn't look like I'll be doing that anymore. Thanks.

I was confused, too, actually, which is why I compared them. Some reviews out there say it's all new, while some say it's the same.

I'm pretty happy with my UTB. I'm sure there will be a HDD release. No point in triple dipping.

No Double Dip for me, I have the TS 1 & 2 DVD Set (Non Toy Box) and will stay happy with it.

The only DVD I have ever Double Dipped for was LotRs DVDs, but those are different is so many ways with the added scenes and features.

Well everything I have heard so far puts this release leaps and bounds over the old.

Quick reminder and question. There was a $3.00 off coupon for Toy Story 2 in the Toy Story dvd, and a $3.00 off any disney dvd in cinderella....can both coupons be used on the same dvd?

I bought the 10th anniversary Toy Story. Checked it the other night. Two inserts. No coupon.

Hey guys,

I'll be getting a screener of this very soon, but with the busy holdiays I probably won't have a review finished until sometime next week. It sounds just as good as the first, though, if not better.

Got the coupon for Toy Story 2 in my Toy Story 1 DVD. That's strange.

Can't wait to see the review Randy.

Can I ask what features would be missing if I sold my ultimate toy box and bought the 2 new sets. What bonus features are on the box set and not on the the 2 new sets. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, I can't believe that with all the special features they've put on these new editions, that they didn't carry over the shorts.
