This halloween season is already overloaded with excellent genre releases. I don't know how anyone would be able to afford them all. So it looks like there are enough releases to last a couple years worth of purchasing if you buy a few here and there(like I will have to).

Ditto. Any pointers to verify this rumor?

This is the Columbia House TV/DVD Club. It is listed in the pre-orders. So far this is the only place I have seen it.

That is a super cool and creepy cover. I'm glad it's the poster art.

And a 2-disc. It should be a great DVD.

I really like that cover and I am looking forward to seeing this movie. I somehow missed it in the theater but with the Oct 25 release I can enjoy it for Halloween.

It seems that there are an ever-increasing number of movies I will want to watch around Halloween including the obligatory Halloween series.

B-Roll and Bloopers Video Cast Commentary
From Location: Silver Reveals House of Wax
Wax On: The Design of House of Wax
House Built on Wax: The Visual Effects of House of Wax
Alternate Opening: Jennifer's Death (for those who saw the film, she's the one who becomes Miss Ambrose)
Gag Reel
Theatrical Trailer

I heard there was also going to be a 2-pack with the original, anyone know if this will include the one disc or the two disc?

No clue. I'd rather the 2-disc be all about the remake and have some store give the original(s) for free with purchase of the remake.

from the bits

In other news, Warner Bros. has announced its recent remake of House of Wax for release on 10/25 (SRP $28.98). The DVD will include 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. Extras are yet to be revealed. House of Wax will also be available on 10/25 in a 2-pack with the original 1953 House of Wax (SRP $35.98), and also in a 2-pack with Gothika (SRP also $35.98).

wonder if the 53 version will get the keep case upgrade

Columbia House posted an alternate cover for the 1-disc, which now FINALLY proves that Elisha is the wax girl on the poster:

So is there going to be a 2-Disc version and then two single disc versions (available in FS/WS)? the one disc is all thats available for pre-order from what I've seen. Unless the 2-disc was an unrated directors cut or something I would just go ahead and order this single disc version from CH.

It's looking like there is only going to be a single disc widescreen release. Every site I've checked only has the 1-disc for preorder.

EDIT: Except Amazon.com. They do have House of Wax listed as a 2-disc also. But I'm wondering if this is just packed with the original. The list price is $35.98

Doesn't bother me near as much as Fox releasing a 2-disc 6 months after the single disc release.

So what's the deal? Is a 2 disc coming out on the 25th, or is it only a 1 disc?

Was the 2 disc cancelled?
