Best: UNDERGROUND (Region 4 Pal) - I had it for 2 weeks before watching this masterpiece.

Worst: THE KILLER (Fortune Star John Woo Collection) - One of the most overlyhyped amatuerish HK movies ever made with the worst DVD quality ever. A VHS tape is better.

Worst: Escape from New York:SE (for being a huge John Carpenter fan, I was surprised how bored I was throughout this. I wanted to love it, but alas, I could not. Very "eh".)

I rarely blind-buy, so the list of options is short for me:

Best: The Passion of Joan of Arc

Worst: (tie) Brotherhood of the Wolf & Beyond the Clouds

Best: Dead Man Shoes R2

Worst: Donnie Darko & Memento, easily two of the absolute worst films I have ever seen. Each one was pointless and mind numbingly putrid in both storyline & execution.

Best: another vote for Shaun Of The Dead. I mean I purchase a lot of films that are blind buys, that's just one of many happy purchases.

Worst: The Wedding Planner O.K. it was a valentine present for my wife. We gave it a try ... boy did it stink.

Worst was "A New Kind of Love" - I love Paul Newman but this one was soooo boring.

Best i: it's a tie between Carnival of Souls and Eyes Witout a Face, two excellent Criterion offerings.

I have a lot of great blind buys, but my best would have to be Adaptation.
I mostly bought it because it was super cheap, a superbit and I heard it was Nic Cage's best performance in a long time.
Not only is this one of my favorite movies now, this is also my home theatre demo disc.

BBB: Adaptation
WBB:Anchorman
