I don't even have 100 DVDs but I've frequented these forums for over three years now.

Congrats!
No, I don't really milestone any titles. I'll be hitting 2,000 titles here in a few weeks, and I don't really care what titles puts it on or over the hump. With my library, whatever it is, it's going to be good anyway...so...
.
Even with my huge library, I can say it's not the quantity...it's the quality.
A library is for later reference and enjoyment...whenever you feel like it. A library resembles your taste and the styles you like in film. A library can go untouched for a few years and STILL reek of value...and forget value meaning $.

DVD Talk Special Edition
I seemed to race quickly to about 300 dvds. Now at 340ish, I have slowed down alot and I am being more picky. As HD/BR DVDs become available (and perhaps mainstream and affordable) I will switch over to picking up those instead. I expect I will be near 450ish on dvds by the time I switch over to the new format.

DVD Talk Legend
I have 738 DVDs now, and the only "milestone" DVD that I can remember is that Return to Oz was my 400th DVD, and I got that for this past Christmas.
I see nothing wrong with owning a lot of DVDs, even when many of them are flicks you haven't even ever seen before. Considering how I buy my DVDs, I look at it like I'm saving money in the long run since I buy DVDs for about the same price that I could rent them.

DVD Talk Hero
According to DVDProfiler (after listing by purchase date) my #100 is Hellsing Limited Edition box w/blood bag. Purchased 8/1/2002.
This isn't totally accurate because my first 70 went with my ex-fiance, so I started over. Using this info, #30 (which might be my TRUE #100) is Jurassic Park Trilogy Boxset.
