Anything with Jimmy Fallon = Comedy GOLD
|
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
The Big Lebowski The first Naked Gun Blazing Saddles Woody Allen's What's Up Tiger Lilly |
This is Spinal Tap
Monty Python and the Holy Grail, or The Life of Brian, or The Meaning of Life Old School Office Space The Jerk |
Love and Death
Groundhog Day O Brother, Where Art Thou |
I've never laughed as much or as hard at any movie as I did with <b>Raising Arizona</b>.
|
If you're at all well-read, Woody Allen's Love and Death is the funniest movie of all time.
|
Some recent films I've just experienced:
Harold & Kumar Shaolin Soccer Office Space Old School |
Super Troopers is good, but it lags in a lot of scenes.
From the last couple of years, I would say Zoolander, Harold and Kumar, and Old School. In the 90's, I'd say Billy Madison, Mallrats, and either Tommy Boy or Black Sheep (same movie). One of my personal favorites is Let It Ride, but that's just me. I think Airplane and the Naked Gun movies are brilliant. And I have yet to laugh at a single Mel Brooks film, and this is after watching Young Frankenstein, that Hitchcock/psychiatric movie, Spy Hard, and Spaceballs. I might have smiled, but I have never laughed. *shrug* |
Spaceballs
blazing Saddles History of the World Part I Monty Python and the Holy Grail Monty Python Life of Brian Austin Powers Triology Airplane Harold & Kumar American Desi Dude, Wheres The Party Planes, Trains & Automobiles Silver Streak See No Evil, Hear No Evil Trading Places Deuce Bigalow Male Gigalo Liar Liar Don't be a menace to south Central while drinking your juice in the hood Meet the Parents / Meet the Fockers Zoolander Rush Hour 1 & 2 + Other Jacjie Chan movies Toy Story 1 & 2 Monsters Inc Finding Nemo Bugs Life Shrek 1 & 2 Shark Tale The Incredibles ...I'm sure there are many more |
For me, Iwould say Happy Gilmore
|
<u>in no particular order</u>
Dumb and Dumber Airplane! Kung Pow: Enter the Fist Mallrats Kingpin Spaceballs |
My top 10, in no particular order:
Stripes Caddyshack Planes, Trains, and Automobiles Weird Science Dumb and Dumber Animal House Monty Python and the Holy Grail Monty Python's the Life of Brian The Music Box (Laurel & Hardy) Kingpin Honorable mentions: The Blues Brothers Zoolander Joe Dirt Tommy Boy Office Space |
maybe I misunderstood when I only listed one movie ;)
|
You are all wrong.
It's either Austin Powers or South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut |
Saw.
P.S. This list is atrocious. |
For me, it's a toss-up between:
Don't be a menace to south central or Office Space |
I'm not much into slapstick or infantile poopy humor (gotta be in the right mood) but my two favorite (semi-intelligent) comedies of all time have to be:
National Lampoon's Vacation Planes Trains and Automobiles |

impossible to just put the funniest movie of all time.. there is way too many films to make that kind of judgement.
that being said a few i remember laughing my butt off uncontrollably are: i think it was titled "me and him" but i could be wrong where griffin dunne could hear the voice of his private parts... it could of been the mary jane but when i watched this one night i thought i was going to have a heart attack. something about mary of course one of the funniest. alot of people tend to think asians don't have a great sense of humor (at least alot of people i talk to) but being an avid asian film enthusiast i find the asian film scene to have some of the more genuine funnier moments in them.. like stephen chow's "king of comedy" there was a scene in there that cracked me up so much... and every film i watch at least gets a chuckle out of me it seems... maybe it's me i don't know.. all stephen chow films generally have at least a few laugh out loud moments. i remember a little film called "brain donors" with john turturro that i haven't seen in a long time but i remember laughing my butt off when i did see it. aghh so many going through my mind.. i will just leave it at that for now. hardly any kind of definitive list there is many others. does this have anything to do with that new laugh and lose weight study? :) |

My favorite characters are the knuckle-headed son ("I'm coming to get you ma"), the tow-truck driver ("that guy's dead"), and the nerds who own the gas station ("We're going to have to kill him"). It always cracks me up -AC |
