SNL: Best of Belushi, Ackroyd, and Radner now Available thru Time Life

Thread title says it all. Can get all three DVD's for $29.99.

SNL Classic Collection: The Best of Dan Aykroyd
Remember the Bassomatic salesman? Fred Garvin? The swinging Czech? Relive the hilarious Aykroyd era at SNL with this 92-min. DVD featuring classic sketches and never-before-seen material. Includes Aykroyd's Tom Snyder and President Carter.

SNL Classic Collection: The Best of John Belushi
Among all the cast members in SNL history, Belushi is King Bee of them all. He's also Samurai Warrior, Jake Blues, Joe Cocker, and all the other characters that made him a legend---and that pack this 78-min. DVD. Includes rare extras!

SNL Classic Collection: The Best of Gilda Radner
Baba Wawa, Lisa Loopner, Roseanne Roseannadanna. Characters as endearing as Radner herself make this 93-min. DVD a must for your SNL collection. You'll see Radner's Emily Litella and Candy Slice, too! Includes never-before-seen footage.

Thanks for the heads-up. I've always wondered why these (along w/ Best of Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, etc...) haven't shown up earlier on DVD.

Now to find a "free shipping" coupon...

I would rather have season sets even though it's been on for 30 years

I wonder if these are more or less the same as the old "Best of" VHS tapes that were released.

There'll never be season sets... and if by some fluke there ever are, episodes will be missing or altered. SNL revises its own history all the time. If you don't see the show when it is live, you'll rarely see it like that again.

They look to be the same as the tapes, but with some extras.

78 minutes is all they could be bothered for on the Belushi collection? Ridiculous.

Just saw the TV ad on The Military Channel of all places. They claim over 6 hours between the three DVDs. This would imply roughly 2 hours of extras between the three for that run time.

yeah, I'd buy a 'Best of' of Chevy Chase if there was one.

Wow! When did this happen? I've been waiting for a Belushi disc for a long-ass time now... I didn't realize it was already out, great news! Dan & Gilda are definitley worth picking up too.
