I don't believe I've ever seen an episode of the "new adventures" - is it the same stylistically?

Some might not like the style change to Gotham Knights, but the stories are just as solid, and the characters are still as good as the earlier seasons. This is a definate pick up to finish off my collection.

A pretty good episode guide for these episodes can be found at

http://wf.toonzone.net/WF/batman/reviews/tnbaindex.htm

Screenshots accompany each episode, so those curious about the revised look can easily see what's different.

This doesn't really relate to Batman, but I didn't think a new thread was necessary for it.

Does anybody know for sure if the 3 part World's Finest announced as part of the Superman: TAS Volume 2 set is the same thing as the dvd release of the Superman/Batman movie or whatever it's called?

Definitely picking up v4 of Batman. I actually liked Gotham Knights better than the original series. To see Nightwing, Tim Drake, and a very much darker Batman was a great addition. Plus, the stylistic changes, except for Joker (eyes), were perfect. I just wish the Superman episodes with Batman were coming out at the same time.

This is odd. I think the Gotham Knights series flew right passed me or I had no cable at the time, LOL.

I never heard of it till I saw it posted here awhile ago.

Pics of Joker would be nice...

How short lived was the series?

Its funny, I don't remember seeing Nightwing but a few times, and I don't remember quite so many changes, but I definitely remember the show being a little different mainly because they chose to use a batman costume with no yellow behind the bat as opposed to the previous series.

This may not be excatly on topic, but I didn't think a new thread was truly necessary give the way some people frown on ones they deem already covered.

Just got Vol.4 today from Amazon. I read some reviews online that mentioned the sets included a special collector's cel replica (like the one included in Vol.3). Opened mine up and no Batman cel. Was wondering how many here got a replica cel in their Vol.4s?

Appreciate any replies in advance.

I know I did get a cell replica in Volume 4. Might have ordered from Amazon too, though I can't remember for sure. Could it be it was for a limited time?

I did not get a cel with Vol. 3, but I did receive a cel with Volume 4 (from The Batman-Superman Movie). I purchased all 4 volumes from Columbia House.

Cel or no cel, there are some really good episodes in Vol. 4, so enjoy your set.

Thanks for the feedback. The cel is not a deal breaker by any means whatsoever. Just was curious. Will be loving the set no doubt.
