Anybody heard release dates for Night of the Comet or Night of the Creeps???

Just curious as I am anxiously awaiting both these classics on DVD...Anybody heard any news on a release date for a region 1 DVD ?? I know these exist as low grade Region 0 on Ebay but am really looking for a Special Edition or just a flat out Region 1 release here in the states...

I've heard nothing for Night of the Creeps and it disappoints me to no end.

How is the quality of your satellite copies? Did you record them directly to DVD on a DVD-recorder, or capture them via computer or TIVO and subsequently burn a DVD? I assume, of course, that there is a lousy station bug, in the lower-right corner, which would ruin the image for me...

I have a 1987 3M laserdisc version of NIGHT OF THE CREEPS... I liked the TV version better, it tied up more loose ends...

Here's hoping these classics finally make it to a good quality Region 1- release. Is it a rights issue?

you would not be able to tell it isn't true DVD quality. i was actually given the copies so don't know exactly what taped from, but don't want to go into further as that is frowned upon here. sorry.

I talked to Kelly Maroney about Night Of The Comet about a year ago. She said that a commentary track had been recorded for a DVD but that there were indeed rights issues holding it up...possibly for good.

Night of the Creeps. "If you scream, you're dead." Greatest tagline ever.

Night Of The Comet has been playing on the HD cable channel where I live lately, so there is an HD transfer out there somewhere.

I thought these were already released? I've see them all over on Ebay. I didn't realize they weren't legit releases.

I have a copy of "Night of the Creeps" on DVD that I recorded off digital cable when it was on a while back. Wish I knew someone who had a digital recording of "Night of the Comet"..... (hint, hint)

I'm simply going to go apesh*t if Night of the Comet doesn't come out on DVD soon. It's one of my top 5 remaining wants. So everybody look out and maybe...back up a tad...

What channel would that be?

All the copies you see on EBAY are bootlegs and are crappy at that.
I think they are ripped from rental store copies that have seen every VCR in America.......

In one version, it's actually late afternoon.

2 different endings. That's the difference.
