How many Anime dvds do you own?

I know that I don't have a lot and just curious to see what everyone else has. Also there has been requests for an Anime sub-forum so I wanted to see how many fans there are here.

Ninja Scroll 10th anniversary edition
Akira special edition
Metropolis
Battle of the Planets Vol. 1 & 3
Spirited Away
Princess Mononoke
Millennium Actress
Perfect Blue
Tokyo Godfathers
Paranoia Agent Vol. 1-3 plus box
Noir Vol. 1-7 I don't have the box but plan to get it.
Madlax Vol. 1 plus box

I haven't yet watched Vol. 2 & 3 of Paranoia Agent. I just watched Madlax this morning which I really liked. I picked it up because it was from the creators of Noir and I really loved that. Can anyone recommend anything like those shows?

Not a huge number.

Haunted Junction
Perfect Blue
Cardcaptor Sakura 1-16
Irresponsible Captain Tylor 1-4
Akira: Limited Edition Tin
éX-Driver: Perfect Collection: Special Edition
Sakura Diaries: Collector's Edition
Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon: Season 1
Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon R: Season 2
Excel Saga: Imperfect Collection: Collector's Edition

I had the non-CE of Sakura Diaries, but traded it to Skinnyguy when they were, like, open, to get the CE; and I traded in Excel Saga 1-3 to get the Imperfect Collection.
All but Haunted Junction I got at a discount, either retail or in an auction, or in a trade.

Now, my NF and BBO rental queues and history--those are mostly anime. We don't get the Anime Network, so I pretty much go in blind to most titles. Unless I can find an excellent deal on something I think I'll like, or that has a good resale value, I'll stick with renting. Plus, some of the 10-50 episode shows, I honestly probably won't rewatch.
I guess I'm a 'fan', but I primarily stick to renting.

0 Just can't get into it... I've tried a bunch of "recommended" titles and the ones I've come closest to enjoying are Cowboy Bebop and Yojimbo, and even those I didn't feel the need to purchase them after renting them.

Only one: Akira
(Three if you count Speed Racer as anime)

I'm just not into the animated-scantily-clad-adolescent-girl thing.

There aren't many I want to own as I have had terrible luck finding new movies and series to get into. I only have the complete Trigun and Ronin Warriors series. I do have plans of buying a few movies I liked when I was younger (Street Fighter The Movie, Fatal Fury 1 and 2), but other than that...

I have ~100, you can view them here: http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.ht...me&id=maxflier

If you like Noir and don't mind PLENTY of fan service, then you may like Najica:Blitz Tactics.

Unfortunately, that's the rep anime has. That or 'collect 'em all' like Pokemon. [We won't mention things like Urotsukidoji here, that's a whole other realm.] And while there's certainly quite a bit of that, there's plenty of other works, whether it be suspense/thriller like Perfect Blue or wacky comedy/parody like Excel Saga, or sci-fi like A Wind Named Amnesia. Whenever people say 'I don't like anime', I always say 'you haven't found one you liked yet', because there's as much variety in anime as there is in Hollywood, perhaps more.

I think Kiki's Delivery Service is a very good, family-friendly, entry into what anime can be. Excellent animation, excellent and positive story, a 'feel good' film in the best way. Also my favorite Miyazaki.

Paranoia Agent is on my BBO queue, but I just got His and Her Circumstances disk 1 which is my next series to watch.

About 250. I used to buy a lot but have begun to slow down as I've pretty much bought all the ones that I've wanted.

None. Not because I have anything against anime, but with all the movies I want to watch and all the TV on DVD... I figure if I dive into the anime world I'll never find time to, you know, eat or sleep.

I just have a copy of Ninja Scroll 10th anniversary edition I won from this site in 2003. No place where I live has any anime for sale. I have to buy it online if I get some more.

I have 3 Pokémon discs. When the youngest has outgrown the Pokémon stage, I'll gladly purge them from the collection. I just can't get into it. I'd maybe give it a fair shot, but there's no shortage of other things I'm more interested in.
