XXX Directors cut to include one very odd feature...
Aside from thedeleted scenes, commentary, and material promotingthe sequel 'XXX: State of the Union', the 2-disc unrated directors cut will include 'The Final Chapter: The Death of Xander', a transition from XXX to its sequel. Didn't see that coming! I figured maybe they would just have Vin's character retired, or something....

That's very odd.
This movie was mind numbingly stupid, but I have to say I find some of the stunts pretty impressive and entertaining. The film blows some stuff up real good.

Yeah, I saw that...they have a stunt double playing Vin's role

Mark me down as one of the few who really enjoyed the original XXX, but have no desire to see the sequel.

Agreed. Vin Diesel is XXX, it's just silly with another. Just exploiting a decently successful movie. And using a stunt double for his death kind of annoys me. I'll stick with my original DVD. They had some deleted scenes before, maybe same.

I'm surprised that they didn't just do the "transition chapter" (literally interpreted: "Our way of trying to explain this bullshit") in a 30 minute animated DVD (Chronicles of Riddick, Van Helsing).
I would have gone to see the sequel . . . then I saw that Ice Cube was the "star." Should have been a direct to video at that point. Good thing Vin passed this one one up to do "The Pacifier."
