Father of the Bride SE this June.
I was just about to break down and buy the DVD of Father of the Bride (91), when I noticed on www.amazon.com that they have a Special Anniversasry Edition listed for release on June 7. No specs yet, but it looks pretty official. Guess I'll be waiting a few months to get it now.

However, FOTB hasn't been released ANYWHERE as a SE. I'm betting that this is 16x9.
But this release also begs another question: exactly what anniversary are we celebrating? The 14th???

I'm confused.
And I have no problem with re-releases on non-anamorphic discs. It's not like this has been released in the last 5 years. lol

While the June wedding thing is a possibility (I know a few people getting married this June) Steve Martin's Pink Panther comes out in July, I would bet that might have something to do with the timing.
EDIT: Oops, I see that PP is set for a Sept. release now.

I believe it's green paper, with presidents on it.

This sounds good, but I don't trust Amazon. I remember way back when they posted Back to the Future: Special Edition way before the trilogy was announced as a single disc release, then it was canceled soon after. So I don't trust anything that Amazon says.
P.S. The Jerk: Special Edition was announced as being released later this year along with other Universal movies including a re-release of BTTF.

If it's anamorphic I'll be picking it up but I wish they would release an anamorphic SE of FOTB part 2 at the same time. Both need an anamorphic transfer & if it's for the $$$ they could double their profits.

Wonder if this means a re-release for the 2nd movie (which is also non-anamorphic).
