An ad in this week's Home Media Retailing (formerly Video Store Magazine) showed the following image for the cover. Looks a little nicer than the earlier one posted. It still may not be the final one since the small print at the bottom says "Artwork subject to change".

That's a little better as far as Andy Lau's face is concerned, but Zhang ZiYi's body is weirdly proportioned. Look how tiny her hand and arm are compared to her gigantic head.

bah! HERO was an excellent film. From what i've heard, HoFD is a film that is basically a CTHD rip-off. HERO had an original storyline, with enough action and plot twists to keep the viewer entertained throughout. HoFD seems like little more than a half-assed follow up.

Its mainly boils down to personal taste, but I'd choose Hero over HOFD. For me, HOFD was seriously hurt because it was not finished properly due to the untimely death of Anita Mui. The ending as it stands seems overly contrived and incomplete, which is of course, completely understandable.

Also, I enjoy the music better on HOFD than CTHD.

I've got The Musa-Warrior coming in the mail, how does that stack up to these three? If I'm not mistaken, Musa Warrior probably compares better to Warriors of Heaven and Earth than Hero, HoFD or CTHD.

I don't really think this is such a detriment. Her character was not the primary focus of the movie. I like the ending as it is.

HOFD has more mass appeal but it certainly isn't better than Hero.
I sometimes felt like I was watching a stylized afternoon soap and Andy Lau's acting was mediocre. But it did have flashes of brilliance, like the Echo dance for example.
