I did not see Predator 2 in Future Shop today. Might have a later release date here in Canada.

I picked mine up at Target for $14.99 along with AvP there as well for $15.99. I don't mind it, the movie isn't the greatest but none of us have the money to make it so I'll accept it.

I'll have to pick this up and upgrade my Predator 2 copy. Honestly, in terms of how good this movie is, it's no better or worse than AVP, save for having lots and lots of gore, so, well, I guess it is better.

But I think many of us fans enjoy it cause, well, it's has Predator in it. Reason why I'll probably pick up AVP too.

In the end, even though I've seen it like 4 times, I can say fully that's it not a good movie. But Preddie looks good as ever, and it's violent as hell. But, it's still a bad movie, directed by a man who has made multiple films that I think suck that I reallly was hoping would be good (Lost in Space, Ghost in the Darkness).

I think that's why I was so appalled by AVP's pg-13 rating. While I can tolerate AVP cause, well, it is what it is, at least Alien Ressurection and Predator 2 offer us the goods when it comes to cheap exploitative violence.

I've noticed people are getting the DVD at Best Buy. Circuit City has it this week for only $12.99, if you are interested.

Just wanted to chime in and say that the DTS track on this puppy is very loud! VERY! Sounds excellent and the transfer is a lot better than the lackluster original release.

I agree with you in that the DTS is loud, but the discrete surround tracks are somewhat of a letdown, they are there, but it's not as aggressive as the front LFR tracks. Don't get me wrong the DTS is great but it still doesn't get as powerful or low as the excellent OOP laserdisc that really ripped (even with only 4.1 channels of sound).

Well, for a 15 year old movie it sounded mighty good. I'd love to hear the LD.

Since when did Best Buy take an additional 10% off a price match? I thought that was only Circuit City's promise. I've price-matched a few times at Best Buy, and they have never taken an additional 10% off the difference.

What type of case does the Original Predator SE come in? Both Predator 2 and AVP come in regular cases w/ a slip cover right?

The case the original Predator SE came in was a foldout digipack housed in a slipcase with a right-vertical opening. I thought this one for P2 would have been the same, but I am actually quite pleased to have a keepcase with different artwork underneath the slipcover. If anything pisses me off more, it's a useless slipcover that has the exact same artwork front and back as the inner housing. What's the point? There should be more like this one or the one for Once Upon a Time in Mexico.

tenzor ???

to get bestbuy extra 10% you have to make your purchse then walk over to the customer desk and show the ad with the better price and tell them to price match.
99.9% of the time you cannot get the 10% extra at register.

Just finished watching it. With the improved audio and video, it was a lot better than I remembered. It is hands down better than Alien vs stupid. Take away the hardcore tv show silliness and it is a pretty good follow-up without Arnie. The subway and meat plant are awesome scenes.

I got it for $11.97 at Wally World Picked that up and Sky Captain for $14.97. And I had AVP pre-ordered at Suncoast,so I got that too. I have to watch Sky Captain soon. I loved AVP,and Predator 2 is a cool underrated movie, but not nearly as good as the 1st
