Tommy Boy 2-disc SE

On the previews for Without A Paddle, one of the previews is for a new 2-disc SE of Tommy Boy. Doesn't give exact specs or date, but it will a nice pickup for me.

Easily one of my favorite comedies ever and one of the best examples of a movie with incredible replay value. I'm all over this.

No question mark! Snap!

Did I catch a niner in there? OMFG! I am in shock right now. Unbelievable.

I didn't think this movie would ever be re-released. Wow.

This and Christmas Vacation are tied for my all time favorite comedies.

"That was.... Awesome!" (news) This is the single best DVD news of 2005 I can imagine!

anybody else think this is a weird movie for a 2 discer. I'm not trying to flame this movie...just saying that Paramount has a a lot of other films out there that are considered classics...Elephant man, Chinatown, Nashville...then they have cult movies like barbarella and targets...just a weird pick for a 2 discer when they have so many other titles to double dip on...

guess more people would like to see farley do his thing....just hope this opens the door for more paramount special editions down the road...

Same thought here.I can only wonder why they would choose Tommy Boy for this.Well I'm happy this is more than I could of hoped for.

While those titles you mentioned are worthy of a special edition, none of them would outsell Tommy Boy.

i agree with you. Just seems like a shame to me. Again, not trying to say anything bad about this movie...I understand it is loved...I laughed first time around, but never plan on picking this one up.

but it wouldn't outsell Titanic...and thats still up in the air.

again...good for those who love it, i'm happy for you

Interesting.

They NEED a commentary with David Spade. Cause other than a better transfer, I don't see why they need to do this..

At first I thought this was just going to be someone requesting a 2 disc SE, not actual news of a SE. I'd never think I would see the day that this would happen. Good news, though, never got the original and I hope they can find some good special features.

Was Tommy Boy the only DVD previewed getting the new 2 disc SE, or were there others previewed on Without a Paddle?

Why this isn't on DVD is a continuing mystery to me.

I am thrilled by the news of a Tommy Boy 2 disc SE & happy I held off buying the first release. It's just a shame that one has to purchase Without A Paddle to find out about its release. We're truly lucky to have not one but 2 people here who bought it and reported finding the preview. Without A Paddle sold what 10 maybe 15 copies so far?

Not putting down those who enjoyed Without A Paddle. I guarantee I've got a bunch of movies in my library that would make most people's skin crawl too.
