Titus: Seasons 1 & 2 coming in September!

per tvshowsondvd.com:

Christopher Titus, the creator, exec producer, writer, and star of the Fox network series Titus has posted big news about the show at his website. It's pretty plain to see what it says!

...

That's great news for a fun and brilliant show that unfortunately only lasted 3 seasons and 54 episodes. It's no surprise that the first and second seasons would be combined on DVD, since the first season consisted of only 9 episodes.

Just saw this on the tvshowsondvd website. Awesome news, particularly since it hasn't shown up in syndication or cable (because the short run). One of the most unheralded comedies of all-time. What FOX did to it was a travesty.

Holy crap! I totally forgot about this show. I remember liking it a good deal the first two seasons, then I didn't see it much after that. Probably Fox's old time slot tomfoolery.

Same here. I think they started bumping it around opposite of other shows that I watched.

And not to sleight the creators and all who were involved in the show, but I hope this goes cheap. Like a $25-$29 SRP, so it can be had for around $20. Which is possible since it wasn't that big of a show and the tv market is getting quite crowded. That's probably the only way I'd pick it up.

I would rather see a complete series set for about $40 to $50 on this show. I will take it however it comes though.

Yes, yes, yes. This is great news that I never thought I'd hear. Count me in on day 1 for this purchase.

BTW, if I remember correctly, the show wasn't picked up for a fourth season not because of low ratings but for reasons unspecified. There were rumors floating around that some execs at FOX either didn't like the show or wished for it to change it's format to appease the female demographic.

According to TVShowsOnDVD, the release date for this has been bumped up to July 12th and it will be released by Anchor Bay and not FOX.

It's a good thing because the third season was a huge dissapointment. Titus getting into the car accident, Elizabeth Berkley joining the cast as his long lost sister (WTF?), that young girl joined the cast too. It was just too hokey.

Deep Discount DVD has this set for preorder for $26.99.
I just ordered it.
Jump on it now before the price goes up. This seems to happen with DDD whenever the prices seem too good to be true.

I thought S3 was just as good as 1 & 2. Plus S3 was after Cynthia Watros gave birth and she looked absolutely amazing.
