A new version is most likely going to be released when the new Rocky Balboa film hit theaters. Also remember that Rocky is part of the MGM catalog, which was purchased recently by FOX, so we will probably get, very good special editions of the all this films in the near future.

I'm pretty sure it's the latter. I wouldn't expect them to re-release this until at the very least it's had its full theatrical run and is out on DVD.

is the Shall We Dance (1996) listed further up the one as going OOP the original Japanese version by Masayuki Suo? that movie just came out recently only after years of fans here complaining!

My source for the Rocky titles and Casino Royale have reversed themselves and they are no longer listed as OOP. Whether this is just a short-term reversal or change of mind from the bean-counters I have not clue.... I will attempt to get some clarification....

Yes, it is the Japanese release. Original DVD release 2/2005.... There is no rhyme or reason to anything the House of Mouse does -- especially concerning their DVD marketing...

New release of "In the realm.."??
Is there a new edition of "In the realm of the senses" being released? DDD has a release date listed as 9/5/06. Could this be why the current version is going OOP? The DDD listing shows the same UPC as the one going OOP.

Could be, but it is the same UPC so I doubt there is going to be an upgrade. Or it could be a price drop date to clear out stock.... It looks like all vendors are out of stock.
