Here is what I have though the lighting is off in the photos. Just added the Sony 46" HDTV so I am done for awhile. I use a Sony DVD Recorder, Onkyo 676 Receiver, Infinity speakers for my 5.1 and I still have a RCA LD player I use on occasion. We have over 800 DVDs and though I can't speak for the kids or my wife with their DVDs all of mine have been watched and every DVD I have kept has been a movie I enjoyed and want in my collection. I don't buy DVDs just to buy them. I actually like all that crap.

Its like a mini blockbuster!
My family's collection is so small it's laughable and not worth the effort of putting up.. guess i'll have to take a picture soon.

Actually, I didn't even take a picture of the shelves with the Disney and kids DVDs, because it was a mess. There are people with 1500+ DVD collections and people with 50 DVD collections. Its not a contest though. As long as you are happy with what you have that is all you need to worry about. We fit what we can within our likes and our budgets.

Yay! After viewing this thread for so long I finally took pictures of my own.
This is my first time posting pics so if I did anything wrong let me know and I'll fix it.
These shelves are pretty funny, because the first one began small (waist height, 3-4 feet wide) when I started collecting dvds in '98 and over the years as I've gotten more dvds I would "add on" to the shelves, lol. I did sell alot because when I would build a "new addition" I would say 'I wont go past this, this has to hold all my dvds from now on'.....lol.

This is my Movie Shelf, if anyone wants closer pics let me know.
I arrange by studio and I'm really anal about spine art, lol.

This is my Boxsets, TV, and Collections Shelf

Closer up

Closer up

Closer up

A Big Thank You to all the artists who make custom dvd art as you'll see a good many custom covers on the Lower shelves above. (Including a few I've made w/ my limited artisitic talent)

And my few Tins/Large Sets: Disney Treasures, Halloween 5, Evil Dead 2, etc.

Check out the link in his sig. It's a serval, and a very beautiful one at that. Looks like a lot of fun, and a lot of work at the same time.

it's a serval, native to africa and not a home theater. this still makes me mad.

almost inclined to pick a fight in the other talk forum.

someone post some pics of their theater. leave your controversial pets out of the pictue :P

Though I may not agree with it and you obviously dont either.

No of us can say that this pet is having a worse life than being in the wild. For all we know, the thing LOVES living in a house being pampered and loved.

But, anyways, back to the home theater pictures...

Geez, lay off. The poster included 8 other photos that don’t show any “controversial” pets. What they do show is a nice, cozy HT set up and dvd collection.

Though I may not agree with this practice either, that is irrelevant. But what pisses me off are pretentious threadcrappers casting stones from their soapbox.

To stick to the topic, jetflair, where did you get the frames for the Spiderman 2 postcards? They look sweet.

... and more importantly, why do you have Alias 3 (quite possibly the worst season), but not 1+2 (quite definitely the best ones)?

So as not to threadjack too badly, here's a link to my site with all sorts of serval info: http://www.exoticcatz.com/speciesserval.html

No of us can say that this pet is having a worse life than being in the wild. For all we know, the thing LOVES living in a house being pampered and loved.

I'm not here to pick a fight about my pet, so I won't respond to some of the more inflammatory comments. You are right...he is very happy and content as a pet with regular meals, good vet care and love and affection. In addition to the house he has a nice outdoor enclosure to play in. He was bred, born, and raised domestically, and being a pet is all he knows. He was not taken from the wild. I am licensed as an educational exhibitor and I recieve unannounced visits from a federal inspector to make sure my care and safety is up to standards.

Back to DVD and home theater!

... and more importantly, why do you have Alias 3 (quite possibly the worst season), but not 1+2 (quite definitely the best ones)?
I actually have all three...the first two seasons are out on loan to friends.

To stick to the topic, jetflair, where did you get the frames for the Spiderman 2 postcards? They look sweet.
They came from Michaels. They were actually very cheap, about $3.00 each and I think they have a nice, classy look to them. I believe "Format" was the brand name.
