Tru Calling Season 1 Set Problems

I just got the first season of Tru CAlling for Christmas, and I love the set. But last night when I put the 2nd disc of the set into my DVD player, the disc wasn't read. The samething happend with my PS2, yet my laptop dvdrom could read the disc. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

I only have the last episode of the set to watch and the only problem I had was a little spec of dust caused the intro of one episode to crap out on me a bit. I removed the dust and things went fine after that.

Great show and since starting it I've been looking all over to see if it will have a second season. It's seems to still be up in the air a bit.

My disc 2 would not play on any of my players. I exchanged with Amazon and the newer set plays fine.

lol, cool... funny thing is, I bought mine on amazon too. And MasterofDVD... I unfortunatley wouldn't hold my breath. Tru CAlling was set to start is second season of 13 episodes in NOvemeber, but Fox pulled the show infavor of starting the show "Point Pleasant." And the episode order was cut to 6 episodes. The Episodes where shot, but fox has no plans to show the episodes. The producers of the show tried to move networks (WB was very interested), but fox wouldn't let them out of there contract (virtually killing the show). Jason Priestly & Eliza Dushku have sense moved on to other projects. The Second Season if it airs, will be shown no sooner than june, but most people are just expected a dvd relase. All this info can be found at buffy.nu

I've been reading all the various message boards related to the show since I got the set and it's such mixed info. The WB move would of been nice but I wasn't expecting too much.

I almost would of liked it if the show ended at the first season. It was left open but I was ok with it. These next few episodes would probably just ruin such an wide open and limitless end of the season.

Does anyone else have these same problems with teh discs?!? I returned the set 2 time to Amazon.com (until they would exchange it again). Since I paid $15 less at amazon than I would pay in a local shop, I exchange the set at walmart, and still the second disc wouldn't load. I just got back from Bestbuy (exchanging the set) and the second disc still doesn't work. I'm going to email Fox about the problem...

I am using a Toshiba SD-3900 and all of the discs played fine on that.
