Well, I buy almost all the titles that I am interested in during the first week of release because it saves me money. Because of this I have close to 30 dvds I need to watch including 12 boxsets.

I think this costs you more money, sure you may save a few bucks off the inital release MSRP, but most dvd's drop in price or there is some good deal in the bargains forum for really cheap. I buy all my dvd's from deals. Regular dvd's must be less than $10 (usually $7 or less with deals like Columbia House), I might spend $15 or so on a really special edition, and $20 on sets like tv series.

I have a lot of unwatched, I am a collector, not for money, I just enjoy having all the movies or TV series I enjoy. I have a few blind buys, most recently both Curb your Enthusiasm seasons for ~$28 from Barnes&Noble.com I think, and a few sub $5 dvd's recently. I also have purchased some of my favorite tv series but still haven't watched all the episodes. I like buying and getting deals almost as much as watching the dvds.
