P.S. American Pie 4?[/QUOTE]

Its supposed to come out next year. Its about Stiffler's little brother going to band camp or something.

I wonder if 12 Monkeys is just a new transfer? Its already anamorphic and I can't imagine improving much on the extras it already has.

Excited about The Jerk and Casino

smirnoffski 12-21-04 11:17 AM

12 Monkeys, Casino and Big Lebowski! Oh yeah!

And Back to the Future would be just the fixed version of the previous release correct?

TomOpus 12-21-04 11:20 AM

The Deer Hunter (SE)
The Sting (SE)

'bout time -smile-

Just read up on this. Thanks.

Should be interesting since there is a rumor that an SE version is coming out at the end of the year. So this kind of sounds like there is going to be one.

i wish some hard dates would come down. A lot of good news in this post.

Also i posted another list here and then posted more at the bottom of the page. Again some good news.

not enough release dates announced the week of Christmas.

SFranke 12-21-04 11:36 AM

Some good stuff there [Casino, Deer Hunter, Sting, Big Lebowski, 12 Monkeys, To Kill a Mockingbird {but no Blues Brothers}], but I wonder how they can make Back to the Future even more special than it already is. I think it'll just be a single disc of the trilogy version like the Godfather.

I also find it odd that Apollo 13 is absent, since it is already confirmed for release next year.

Third Baseman 12-21-04 11:37 AM

The Deer Hunter SE!!!!!!!

I sold my other version at the right time then. Great news.

In case my sarcasm detector isn't working...
Careful about blind buying this one, you'll either love it like my wife, or want to take a Louisville Slugger to it like I did.

And where the hell is MST3K: The Movie special edition?

Another Back to the Future? Meh.

Sondheim 12-21-04 04:04 PM

"12 Monkeys" is one of my favorite films but I haven't been able to get a DVD of it yet... So that's great news. "The Deer Hunter," "The Sting," "Casino," and "To Kill a Mockingbird" will also be must-buys (as long as the release is good, of course.)

wordtoyamotha 12-21-04 04:16 PM

Casino SE

Kant 12-21-04 04:44 PM

12 Monkeys (SE?)

critterdvd 12-21-04 04:53 PM

Does the world really need another American Pie? Especially without Seann william scott or alyson hannigan...

kornboy 12-21-04 04:56 PM

lmao, never even knew there was a balto 2, let alone 3!

mdc3000 12-21-04 05:42 PM

If the Jerk isn't widescreen this time, then I hope all the suits at universal buy themselves some optigrabs and go permanently crosseyed...but this is great news, One of my favourite movies of all time!!!! Some very decent reissues on that list!

An impressive list. Let's hope that the tv shows are not butchered and all the films are OAR (especially Sting).

Will be picking up:

Alfred Hitchcock Presents (season 1)
A-Team (season 2)
Back to the Future (SE) (maybe on this one, see if it is worth a DD)
Casino (Anniversary Edition)
Columbo (season 2)
Knight Rider (season 2)
Kojak (season 1)
Las Vegas (seasons 1 and 2)
Leave it to Beaver (season 1)
Magnum PI (season 2)
Meet the Fockers
Miami Vice (season 1)
Murder She Wrote (season 1)
The Big Lebowski (SE)
The Deer Hunter (SE)
The Jerk (SE)
The Sting (SE)

I think that might be early if this is the first announcement. I bet they will wait until miramax releases The Aviator on DVD.

jmj713 12-21-04 07:02 PM

Great and here I thought 2005 is gonna be easier on the poor wallet than 2004. Not that I mind much.
