So I go to the store today to pick up ROTK and there's a bunch of other boxsets on a table next to it. I notice a boxset of "Ghost In The Shell: Standalone Complex", look at the price and go woahhhh that's cheap! So I buy it, I get home, open it, and there is Vol. 3 and a damn T-shirt. I go wtf?

Nice.
I've done that. More than once. We need a Old Geezer smilie.

We sure do.
And it's a bloody XL T-shirt too, can't even wear it. I thought Japanese people were small, was this marketed for sumo wrestlers of something? Blah... too old to wear that anyway, that thing is going back.
And while I'm at it, how many Vol. is this series supposed to have?

Actually, that's a good question, because I'm just getting interested in this series. I haven't even updated my Profiler in ages. I read somewhere there were supposed to be 7 volumes?

I meant to order Flesh and Bone, ordered Flesh + Blood instead. When it came I was totally confused. It was cheap though, and turned out to be worth seeing. I also ordered Hell's Angels instead of the Hell's Angels '69, but I caught it before it shipped since it turned out to be a pre-order. Hell's Angels might've been better, but it didn't have the coveted Joe Bob Briggs commentary.

SAC is 26 episodes long. There is another series right after it, which would be like a second season, also 26 episodes. It's almost done airing in Japan. I don't know what they'll do after that.
I couldn't find the t-shirt edition (toook me long enough to find the regular edition), so I just bought the single disc. I didn't want the shirt anyways. I sort of regret it though, because the SE had nicer liner notes, and the extra disc.. reversable cover.. etc. So it doesn't exactly "go" with my other two. Grrrr.

Well, I once purchased the first Captain Ginyu DVD of the DBZ series, and it looked great. The cover was in all its glory, with the back saying which episodes were on it. The dvd itself had the proper art on it as well. But I put it in the DVD player and what the hell?... it was actually one of the Dragonball Z movies. Had to return that to the company for an exchange via snail mail.
But with things I actually could have helped... I purchased a couple of movies in full frame accidentally, such as Unbreakable and The Mummy.

I bought lord of the rings, the two towers, and i didnt realize until watching the 3 movies that i had bought the fullscreen version, i was wondering why the picture looked like crap on my 50 inch tv, my wife thought it was fine, here the dvd player zoomed it in automatically, so missing stuff because of fullscreen then missing more on zoom, then just to irritate me when watching return of the king my wife said she like the two towers way better because of no black bars,,,ugh

When placing a CH order, I wanted Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country as one of the enrollments. I accidentally ordered Star Trek IV instead. I was ticked off when I got the package until I researched it and saw I made the goof.

What I usually do is look through the dvd section of Best Buy and pick something up every week. I usually forget to research on this site the latest news and get some crap like NightOTLDead 30th ann. LE edition. The other thing that always happens to me is that I buy a movie when the SE is being released like one week later.

One time I ordered Wide Screen but I got full Screen. That was the saddest day in my life (other than when little birdie died and my dog then of course there were a few relatives and that day I got fired of course there was that time I thought I won the lottery and it turned out I never bought a ticket) Ok so maybe not the saddest day but I was bummed for a while.

I couldn't imagine making a mistake like that, but I wouldn't be suprised if I did one day. If I'm at a B&M I'm usually reading the back of the case while waiting in line... so it'd be hard to mess up for me.
Although I've had a few "I thought I bought widescreen, but I go fullscreen" incidents before.

I almost bought the Gus Van Sant version of Psycho by mistake. I got all excited thinking that the original had finally been reissued in anamorphic, before I noticed the pics weren't right. I got all the way up to the counter and was about to check-out too. That was close. DeepDiscount once sent me Dirty Dancing instead of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels too. And Amazon sent me Heat with Burt Reynolds instead of the Michael Mann film.
