Nabalab, on the Deep Discount link the top of the supposedly new cover clearly states that it's widescreen. Hopefully, the info regarding the full screen aspect ratio is incorrect on that site. Either way I will be buying this (assuming its better than the horrible last release). If it's full screen, I guess I'll suck it up since it's unlikely that this movie will be rereleased.

Good call - I didn't even catch that, as I posted right before I went to sleep. But yeah, I will buy it to replace the other version that I bought a few years back.

There's another online retailer listing it. The cover art there is slightly different but it definitely appears to be widescreen. If I recall the version shown on television had some extra scenes to pad it out and those also appear to be on here.

Here's most of the movie's theme song to pump you up:

Great news!!! I never bothered with the Jef version due to its poor quality.

Curious to know how a director's commentary will be included since Sergio Corbucci died in 1990.

Glad to finally be able to see the extra scenes though (I vaguely remember a few from TV airings way back when).

God, I have a headache. I've been searching all night for the full version of the theme song. I finally found it. I can't wait for this disc to come out.

Thanks for finding that! I had no idea the song was so damn long!

It's kind of disappointing that the early specs mentioning commentary and deleted scenes for this were wrong but at least its widescreen.

I know (slightly disappointed as well). At least its miles ahead of the previous Jef DVD.

A couple reviews on Amazon.com are saying this isn't really widescreen. Which is weird considering the DVDTalk review says it's widescreen. Can anyone confirm this?

That's weird. I have my copy at home, but have yet to give it a spin. I'll do so tonight.

Strange that some people on Amazon are saying this about it being fullscreen. I just got mine in the mail yesterday and it is indeed widescreen, and anamorphic to boot. Maybe some got pressed wrong or something.

I got this and it looks pretty darn good to me. There are some trailers with Terence Hill and Bud Spencer that are a little worse for wear, but the movie looked and sounded good all in WS.

I did notice a slight drop in audio right at the end of the movie. Not sure if it is on the lot or just mine. It is very quick and easy to miss.

I watched the first half of this last night (too late and was getting tired). Picture is definitely anamorphic widescreen (perhaps those goofs on Amazon had their TV/DVD settings incorrect )

Anyway, I'm surprised no one has mentioned the slight differences with this Super Snooper cut of the movie. Thus far, I've noticed a handful of either alternate/extended scenes or different music cue's.

Examples of stuff I don't recall from the Super Fuzz cut:
-Near the beginning, outside the state penitentary, an older lady says her dog opposes the death penalty
-There is a brief shot of the group of Native Americans in the control room
-When Dave arrives at the reservation, the whole segment is played with music in the background (I recall the scene playing with no music at all)

I finally got my copy and it held up very well for me. I definitely remember at least 2 different versions from when I was a kid. I believe for the network version they added some scenes in. Someone on another forum said the scene with Dunlop at the race track was added but I'm positive I've seen that part before. There was very little that I don't specifically recall here (maybe a few scene extensions here and there that weren't ringing a bell). I also agree that the version(s) I've seen before didn't have music playing when Dave goes to the reservation and a few more scenes had the theme song where I don't remember it. Still, more of that addictive song can't be a bad thing. The sound seems a bit too loud, possibly clipping but I got used to it. Then again I doubt the sound quality has ever been good on this movie. The print though is pretty remarkable for a low budget movie that no on cares about from more than 25 years ago. I really don't recall seeing any dust or blemishes and the colors were pretty solid. Not reference material by any means but probably the best this film has ever looked. It's also cool to see it in widescreen since it's surprisingly well shot for what it is.
