Team America - March 29th

The street date for Team America: World Police is being reported as March 29, 2005 by South Park Alliance. No mention of extras yet, but it will be the uncut version. I can't wait for this one. I know some people didn't care for it, but I laughed my ass off.

It had its boring parts, but I did LMAO during many scenes.

I will probably pick this one up too.

Not as funny as the South Park movie (then again, what is?), but I'll certainly be picking up this one.

Not to contradict, but doesn't Paramount have some contract where they don't release uncut films (not rated or nc17)?

No question, I'll be picking this one up on release date. Here's hoping for an uncut puppet sex scene.

hence why we haven't seen DVD versions of the unrated cuts of Jade and Sliver (available as such on VHS, but not on DVD - go figure?). I'd also be surprised if Paramount ever releases the NC-17 rated 316min version of 1900 - me thinks not.

Here's hoping for a Trey Parker/Matt Stone commentary.

While their are 3 commentaries on the orgazmo dvd, one being a drunken. I've heard rumors that their won't be a commentary on TA:WP. I have a feeling that they just didn't have time to do a commentary, because they basically went right to SP after doing press for Team America.

The site I found the release info on says that there will not be a commentary.

That's really disappointing. I love their commentaries. Hopefully there's other extras, I know the material's out there.

Yeah. I for one am REALLY interested in some behind-the-scenes features. I want to see the real scale of the sets and puppets they used, how they put them together, and how they pulled off some of the action scenes.

I beg to differ.

South Park was witty, crude and clever. I found Anchorman to be really juvenille.
