Hopefully that changes as this was one of my most anticipated DVDs of the summer.

Travolting did get an Oscar nod for that movie. I personally thought he was great in it.

he was great in it....so it looks like this one won't make its release date...seems like the dvd for national treasure would have been perfect timing...

the OP is about 8 months old at this point and several of those titles have been shifted by now...america's next top model, Coach Carter, Island in the Sky: SCE, The High and the Mighty: SCE, War of the Worlds: SCE...i don't think its not going to happen...its just a matter of time at this point

I'm still waiting for a SE of Phenomenon, another great Travolta film.

I'm happy about Face/Off, though.

Maybe Paramount's holding off to use this, and other things like Braveheart, as 4th quarter holday releases, as they're more commercial. Either way, unlike most Paramount titles, this one's transfer could use a once-over; if I recall, it looks pretty dirty on the current release. Actually, I remember Braveheart's opening being a little dirty, too, and nowhere near as green as it should have been...hm.....

No, this is the one where there are scenes of a child in peril.

Agreed. The transfer for Face/Off is definitely dirty.

Doesn't look like it. Chalk up another failed SE (Enemy of the State, Crimson Tide).

Um, actually yes to both. There is a child in peril during the film, but the climactic gunfight takes place in a church with lots of slow motion birds and the guys right next to each other or back to back.

Haven't seen this in years. It would be very cool to see a nice new edition.

I thought it was the one where there are barrels of explosives conveniently sitting around that get shot and cause large explosions!

Well, I sold my old one in anticipation of this . However, I haven't watched the movie in a long time and don't miss not having it, so I can wait, as I am very patient and in all honesty, the poor picture quality always got me frustrated.
