DVD Profiler New BETA Version
I was just wondering if anyone has tried the new BETA version avalible. You need to have a premium registration to try it and I was wondering if it's worth it.

Nope! Tried the beta version last time and it had too many bugs, so it was merely a Pain in the Arse for me - no more beta versions for this guy!

Some real cool features that I've played with like the tags, box set support and the movie picker. No troubles here with crashing but thats to be explected with betas of software.
Biggest thing for me is the lack of online ability (currently the 'my profiler' upload/download is disabled till a later beta) so my use is limited.

NEVER had a problem with ANY Beta from IVS here and have been testing for them since 1.0. Do they have bugs.....does the word BETA mean anything to you people. I have far more problems with the contributions some morons submit and want them to stop. But we are soon going to able lock titles in the Online Db, some titles have been fotballed 2000 times. Version 2.3.0 is going to be great.

DVD Talk Platinum Edition
I have it. It did not crash. Nice features, but it is beta by all means. There is no online upload yet. Either way I say DVD Profiler is worth the $25 period. I used to run the free version but I wanted to show my support for an outstanding software. And I got to remove ads from the program.

2.3 is pretty good so far. I like the new Box Set option, as well as the ability to finally have more than 2 directors.
I haven't had any problems yet, but I just installed it a couple hours ago.

I like the beta a lot, but it's the only version I've ever used. The downside is that so far the beta doesn't seem to support exporting to html. Since I went straight to the beta I'm screwed since I can't open the file from the beta in the old version. Word of advice... if you are a new user, use the existing version to enter your movies, then upgrade first if you want to export as html. I should have known better, but now it's too late. That being said, I like the beta just fine and have had zero other problems.

BTW folks, some of you may not be aware but IVS does have their own set of forums for DVDProfiler. Participation is a good thing and might just help prevent some problems.
