Fire in the Sky is one of my favs and it just came out for less than $10. War of the Worlds is also good. Then there is Independence Day if you prefer more big budget type films.

Other than Close Encounters, you mean?

If you have the time, the miniseries Taken is also worth your while, IMHO.
