Fifth Element / Leon The Professional (2 Disc Special Editions) ---> Jan. 11th, 2005

Columbia is at it again!

They will release "The Fifth Element: Ultimate Edition" and "Leon the Professional: Deluxe Edition" 2-disc editions on January 11th...details will follow for the official announce on Nov. 1st.

PixyJunket 10-18-04 07:45 PM

YAY! Er, wait.. as always I shall wait to see what's going to be new and decide if I should upgrade.

fumanstan 10-18-04 07:47 PM

I've been waiting to pick up The Fifth Element :) Hopefully the Ultimate Edition will be worth getting, as i haven't been able to decide on the regular edition or spending the extra on the superbit.

littlefuzzy 10-18-04 07:49 PM

Whoohoo, I was debating whether I should sell my Fifth Element to Blockbuster for their $8 buy-in.

Randy Miller III 10-18-04 07:52 PM

Man, I hope the Leon 2-disc is worth waiting for. After like 3 mediocre releases (and 2 with defective sound mixes), it's getting sort of annoying...

asianxcore 10-18-04 07:59 PM

if the 2 disc of Leon has commentary by Luc Besson, Natalie Portman and Jean Reno. I'm in :)

philo 10-18-04 08:24 PM

It was mentioned in a thread some months ago that Natalie Portman recorded a commentary for LEON. I think she talked about it in a magazine interview.

Slowpc 10-18-04 08:28 PM

If they fixed the audio in Leon ... you got me on the purchase.
Since i have not gotten 5th element yet, if the extras that are announce are good... they got me there also.

steebo777 10-18-04 08:37 PM

I'm happy with my current Leon and Fifth Element SB.

NitroJMS 10-18-04 08:44 PM

I thought Luc Besson didn't approve of SEs for his movies and preferred them to be essentially featureless. Anyone know why the change?

Rammsteinfan 10-18-04 08:46 PM

Not going to upgrade LEON prob but I have been holding off on Fifth Element so this will be a no brainer for me.

ArchibaldTuttle 10-18-04 09:50 PM

Cool, these are two of my favorites, but I don't plan on rebuying them till it comes in hd flavor.

SFranke 10-18-04 09:50 PM

Thanks for the tip, Mao. I'm off to unload my copy of Leon.

PopcornTreeCt 10-18-04 10:04 PM

I'll wait for reviews of both.

SRotblat 10-18-04 10:07 PM

This is the only place I see anything about a SE Leon, this posted anywhere else? Anyone have specifics of the features included?

eau 10-18-04 10:11 PM

I'm happy with my Fith Element SB and Leon fixed audio. Will wait for reviews before considering double dipping.

smirnoffski 10-18-04 10:16 PM

Stupid Columbia loves to piss me off like this, that's why I always have stay away from this company.

Even worse, they bought out MGM, now they are gonna screw over their catalog too.

Get ready, there are gonna be superbit, deluxe, WS, FS, superbit deluxe and ultimate versions of all twenty-something James Bond films, and that's gonna be before they pull the same stunt with the Blu-Ray versions.

So true. If Leon isnt a fantastic disc, I'm gonna put Columbia in a headlock and make them eat fireants.

thelwig14 10-18-04 10:23 PM

Staying with my SB Fifth Element.

costanza 10-18-04 10:24 PM

I'll wait to see what the extras are before double dipping on the Professional.
