Sold out around here also. I got a raincheck from BB for $57ish but that was more than what they were charging for it online at that time. Now CC is charging $54ish for it online.

I plan on waiting on this one for awhile. From what I have read there is nothing special about this set anyway.

Even the Best Buy bonus discs are selling for $30+ on Ebay. This set is in pretty high demand.

The value of the best buy bonus disc for the Indiana Jones Trilogy also isn't too shabby. Might have to check my local best buy. That disc could almost pay for the boxset.

Good grief! The Showgirls VIP edition for $89.99?

The incredible deal I got at deepdiscountdvd last month seems all the more sweeter....

Deepdiscountdvd has a good price for this set, but it is listed as Full Screen. Was there a separate fullscreen release of the box set, or do they just have it listed wrong??

Isn't that illegal?
It's called supply and demand. Not illegal. We're not a communist country. Yet.

Looks like Paramount made the right decision by rushing this to DVD in time for Halloween, all-the-while scrapping intentions of providing uncut versions of the films.

Isn't this what fans wanted? I thought Paramount said (or maybe it was just a rumor) that if this set sold well, they would come out with a better boxset since there was a lot of interest (read: $$).

Since this seems to be selling well, wouldn't this bode well for the much-anticipated uncut versions in the future?

All 3 BB in my area were sold out last week so I just ordered it online through Amazon w/ STL. It's a great set and well worth it, IMO.

Obviously some people will buy whatever Paramount throws at them.

my local Sam's club had a ton of the sets when I was there yesterday. If you aren't a member, you can normally go in and ask for a free guest pass which is good for one day. I think the sets were $47 but I could be wrong on that.

I was at Best Buy yesterday, they had about 2 dozen copies of it. Don't know if it had the bonus disc or not.

Got mine with BB disc for 53.99, but they 110% price matched the FRY'S ad from a couple days ago. So.. under $50...

I wonder if Paramount didn't expect much action on this title. They did sell the franchise after 8, so maybe they thought it was dead (somehow missing Freddy v Jason's box Office results) and didn't hype it to retailers much.

And...if they put in deleted scences and such, wouldn't $ean Cunningham et al be raping our childhood?

I've heard the bonus disc is quite good. I'm sorry I didn't purchase this set earlier.

Maybe I can find an Ebay deal on the bonus disc...

went into Best Buy in Marin City, CA today. 8 copies of the boxset, only one had a bonus disc. Picked it up with the 20% off Madden coupon.

has there been any announcements on whether or not paramount (?) might put these bonus discs out again with Friday the 13th around maybe Christmas?

I noticed in the sunday paper that CC had this set for $49.99 so you guys might want to check the local stores if BB is out.

I might be able to score this boxset new for about 50 bucks. Do you think it is worth it or should I wait for a better set? Decent price but I don't want to see a larger price drop soon or a new improved box set coming. Any opinions or news?
