Universal Monsters Legacy Set 2 ???
Is Amazon selling this second wave as individual units only or is there a boxed set like the first wave with the busts? I can only find the individual releases there. Can anyone tell me what I should use for a search to find the boxed set (assuming it will exist)?

I think they are only single sets.

Was there ever a clear story on why the first set of busts disappeared from shelves (I believe due to recall, not selling out)? I missed out on them waiting for a better price.

But that boxed set was just a limited edition release that Universal put out to whore their wretched "Van Helsing" pile of shit.
If Universal was smart -- which they aren't -- they would've held off on the releases of their old monster DVDs until this month, so the stores could promote them for Halloween, and probably pick up more sales of the box with the busts as Christmas gifts providing they were prescient enough to keep available through December.
But instead they release them to coincide with "Van Helsing," which has absolutely nothing to do with the old Lugosi, Cheney, and Karloff movies except for the names of the monsters. Like the kids who're lining up to see that "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" by way of "The Matrix" rip-off would give a shit about seventy year-old black and white movies.

Dracula's Daughter is included in the Dracula set.
I don't think the Phantom needs another release. The two-discer released last year is good enough, IMO.
The Hunchback could probably stand to get a better release.

thanks for the info...
I couldn't find old dark house or isle of lost souls listed anywhere...well amazon has it as Jan 2010 release...
I saw A&C meet the Mummy Single disk @ DDD and Amazon for ~$19,
Best of V3 has A&C meet Frankenstein, The Killer Boris Karloff, and the Invisible Man...
It seems the single copy of meet frankenstein is OOP, and no Jekyl and Hyde.
I think it's be nice to have a companion set of the "monster" comedies. The A&C movies were Universal weren't they?
