Shit, so that's what happened to my Halloween 4 DVD! What about other non-Anchor Bay stuff? I had a Casino disc and Mission to Mars disc that did the same thing.

From: You have moved into a dark place. It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
I posted a photo of mine in another thread, but the bottom looked like it had MOLD growing on it. It was all green and black blotches all over.
Ugh!
I replaced it in the spring and the new disc arrived within a week or so. I got the same cover art back with Winona Ryder on it. Maybe they have different cover art replacements?

I started this thread and totally forgot to check back for the answers. Thanks all.
Now, to check on Kentucky Fried Movie as well (since I'm problably one of about a dozen people who bought that DVD).

Okay, so I sent off my Halloween 4 disc to AnchorBay for replacement, and when I got my new disc, I popped it in and it's seems as if something is amiss. Help me out here.....how many people remember a short intro to the movie by Danielle Harris and the other blonde girl? This came on right before the movie when you press play. It's not on my new disc. WTF? Not that I really give a shit about some stupid intro, but why would it not be exactly the same as my rotted disc?

Am I the only one with an original pressing of Heathers that still seems to work fine? I just flipped through every chapter on 2 different players.
Should I have it replaced just to be safe?

I recently checked my copy of A Night To Remember: Criterion Collection after having not watched it in a couple of years. It is dead as a doornail. I tried it in 3 different dvd players (all different brands) and none can read it.
I visited their website & gave them the info last week but have yet to hear a thing. I thought Criterion prided themselves in their customer service?

Yeah my copy of AB's "The Witches" died on me. They replaced it - and I live in the U.K.! Like other early AB titles, the whole thing went a nasty bronze colour and failed totally.
Word of warning though; their website is horribly out of date. Cleverly, it recognises "known bads" by directing those titles directly to the returns page (there are a number of known problem titles like The Witches; Frankestein Created Woman and Deep Red). Other titles is asks you to submit more information.
However, the email addresses they give are wrong. The ones addressed to Anchor Bay either fail because the recipient is unknown, or try to autoforward to nonexistant addresses. The only one that does work they ignore - I sent a tagged message which got deleted after six weeks. Unread.
If you do return a disc, it's pointless trying the email they say you can use to find out what is happening. Because it goes to a company that no longer deals with Anchor Bay!
I think my returned disc spent about three months getting bounced around in the mail before it got to the right people. Luckily the various recipients forwarded it rather than just throwing it away.
