No coverart yet? I hope M uses one of it's original German posters. The one with the giant "M" in the man's palm is the one that comes to mind.

It looks like I'm going to have to double-dip for M.

I'll put King of Kings next to Last Temptation and Life of Brian to complete the Jesus trilogy. Great news.

It's about time... A Jesus movie on DVD that's about redemption and love rather than condemnation and hate.

Way to go, Criterion!

Wow, Criterion usually does not release movies in the month of December. These two titles are well worth the exception to the rule. More DeMille!!!!!!!!!

That's what I want to know. I'm interested in checking out some of his mexican films like Los Olvidados.

No-one ever wants to just be happy for a release, they have to condemn and hate other releases...

A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.

I looked up the King of Kings at imdb and the closest year I found is 1927. Is it the one?

Both King of Kings and M for me this December.

Yes. They list it as a 1931 title because the version most of us are familiar with is the edited 1931 re-release with a synchronized music track. The original 155-minute version (which Criterion is also including) is somewhat rare from what I understand -- in fact I'm not sure it's even been released on home video before.

I'm looking forward to the new release of M. Hopefully Criterion will get around to releasing some of the British Hitchcock films next year.

Is there going to be a trade-in deal on M like there was for Charade?
