No, I usually pick up new releases on Tuesday morning as BB is on my way to work, but I usually won't watch them until the weekend. Combination of being busy with school work and having TV shows I like to watch Tues, Wed and Thursday nights.

NOPE! I watch movies I like in the theater and the ones that I really like or miss, I buy them on DVD. More then 70% of my collection is unopened. I buy them because they are there. This is a sickness and I need to get on the wagon!LOL!

I usually buy a bunch at one time and don't have time to watch them right away

Almost never watch them immediately but I always open them right away, check for any imperfections on the disc and put em on the shelf

No. I add new purchases to one of two lists depending on when I expect to get around to watching them:

Backlog - High Priority

Backlog - Low Priority

I always at least step through a few chapters to make sure the disk is good. I'd hate to wait a few weeks only to find out I had a bad disk.

Some cases I do, like HERO (region 0 from China) I saw the mailman deliver it. Went right in, opened it and viewed it. It took me 3 months to watch 'LAST SAMURAI' and I still have not opened 'SAVING PVT RYAN' and I've had it since it's release. It's mood and luck. I have about 30 DVDs in my collection that I have not seen at all. I consider 30 out of 1075 is pretty good. Note that I am not counting cheap collections like Horror 50 Pack because some of those I will never watch. I buy them for 'rainy-day' last resort.

Almost never! I just might be the king of unwatched, sealed DVD's. Since I started collecting DVD's, I have over 100 still sealed and only about 25% of my DVD's opened.

I usually watch within 2 or 3 days. I like to watch them quickly in case there is a problem and the disk needs replacement.

I've got a pretty extensive backlog as well.

Alias Season 2 & 3
Angel Season 4
Simpsons Season 4
Star Wars
Walt Disney Treasures Wave 3
Smallville Season 2 (currently watching)
X-Files Season 4
Clerks X
Batman TAS Vol 1
Rain Man
Hoosiers
Radio
Bulletproof Monk
LadyKillers

Many, many others that I can't remember.

So, um, no, I don't watch them right away.

Maybe having had as many as 90 unwatched titles at one point leaves me little room to talk, but I don't really think there's an excuse to have over 500 unwatched titles. That's almost twice as many titles as I've got in my entire collection.

How can you have so many unwatched titles? Even with a full-time job and a "life," there's no reason to have not watched that many DVDs. I know amazing specials have beefed up a lot of collections and makes it a bit hard to keep up, but at no point should things get so bad that you have a few hundred titles in your collection that have gone unwatched. Just my two cents.
