So it looks like Star Wars and Office Space ARE showing up on the same day eh? Looks like there's going to be a SPACE theme that day ;) |
What will it be rated? I saw this for the first time the other night on AMC and laughed hard. Later I saw it's rated R and wondered why.

if you watched on amc you likely saw the watered down editied version that had all the cursing cut out. |

Exactly. It is dumb shit like that, that turns legitimate consumers against them. So hopefully it won't come to that. |
buying it...hope for milton toons as well
|
buying it as well.

For the record, there's an Office Space cartoon on the Hertzfeldt/Judge presentation of "The Animation Show," along with several other Mike Judge pencil tests, and numerous other solid animated shorts. It can be had for $17 on the site. Highly recommended all around, and especially if you're looking for a look at Office Space in it's early stages.

I'm suprised the shorts aren't included... but maybe there's one or two on that documentary

As mentioned in a thread less than a month ago my most wanted disc of the year is Office Space SE. I'm excited! :)
|
I hope they include the featurette: "The beating of a non-cooperative printer."

Here are the full details from Fox. Curiously, no mention of a commentary.
The disc will feature a new 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, a Dolby Digital 5.1 track, deleted scenes (Peter Lies to Lumbergh, Happy Hour and Chotchkies, Peter Goes Off on Nina, Tom's Mixed Heritage Called Into Question), "Out of the Office: An Office Space Retrospective with Mike Judge," Visual Downloads, DVD-ROM audio and the theatrical trailer. Retail is $19.98. |
Just reading "Tom's Mixed Heritage Called Into Question" made me giggle like a schoolgirl.

A while back--perhaps more than a year ago--it was reported that Mike Judge was hard at work on the creation of this special edition. Couple that with how long it's taken for anything official to come out, and the feeling I've had is that this was going to be quite a production.
Now that we've seen the specs, the whole thing feels a little anticlimactic. Will still buy it; it's certainly better than the current release. Just doesn't have as much in the extras department as I was expecting. Would have been great to have a commentary. --THX |

Look for the DVD to include a new anamorphic widescreen transfer, deleted scenes, a behind-the-scenes documentary and audio commentary with writer/director Mike Judge. FYI, a UMD version of Office Space will also be available on 11/1." looks like it has audo commentary |
Digital Bits are the only ones who list a commentary, every other site doesn't.
