the avp set came from blockbuster and was exclusive to them. it came with mini bust for an alien and a predator. i still see them at most blockbusters for around 30-35. I would grab it quick, its already OOP, and with the Director's cut around the corner, some renewed interest is sure to come.

By the way they also had tons of them so it won't be hard to find.

For $20.99, I'd definitely pick this up...

it was $22.99 for me as well (RZ member also).
did anyone notice the transfer as being a little on the dark side? the fleshtones seem a bit too saturated (these actors shouldn't all have such dark tans/skintones, and i certainly don't recall them being this dark in the original release).

I wish the cup just said initech instead of office space. I picked up the gift set at Best Buy on Tuesday night they had a whole display of them.

Best Buy had a few copies of Office Space in OAR, but every slipcase was marred with creases to one degree or another. And I'm not a big enough fan of the film to justify $22.99 for the gift set. I'll gladly pay full price (a whole $2 more) later when they have better copies of the single-disc release.

Did anyone have a really bad layer change on this disc? It's right around the cake scene, and mine froze for about 3 seconds. I haven't tried it on my computers, though ... just my set-top player (a DVP-642).

As if the regular edition box was not the same texture as the giftset?
they were both the same box type. The giftset was bigger though..

Yes, but the slip cover isn't actually supporting anything, it's not a "box". The gift box was very pliable, and was very poor packaging.
And yes, the layer shift was pretty bad on mine too!

I thought the layer shift came just before Peter starting explaining the "portions of a penny" scam to Aniston's character in the car. It was a bit jarring, definitely noticeable, but not really a freeze. I didn't notice anything amiss during the cake scene.
Found a nice thing in my copy - a coupon for a free sub at Quizno's! Mmmmm... toasty! I'll be redeeming that soon.
I snagged a pretty flawless copy of the disc-only at BB. There were many that had scuffs, and tears and such. Many were torn around the UPC cutthrough at the top of the back, similar to what I saw with many copies of the new Fly disc. Makes me wonder - does it really save them anything to have these things made with a hole, versus just printing the damn UPC on a complete uncut box???

This exclusive set is great, although flimsy!
Thanks.
