GITS : SAC v2 (Audio Q / Problem!)

i got my usa disc here in the uk today of "ghost in the shell SAC V2". i am buying the standard editions... last volume had 5.1 and stereo, and the case on this volumes states the same. unfortunately the disc only includes DTS, and i am not DTS-happy. so : i am guessing either a batch of mispressed discs or wrong disc in the wrong cases for this. i have contacted manga just now. i have told them i am not going to put the responsibility for effectively replacing the disc with my supplier : theyre not to blame, and arent in a position to do anything other than send another (potentially) wrong disc.

i am guessing the DTS is the disc for the deluxe edition of each volume. has anyone had experience with dealing with a situation like this? has anyone else got the same problem with this title?

i hear with the last volume there was an audio problem? : no DTS on the special edition / faulty DTS? am i right?

thanks...

Looks like a known problem. Anime On DVD has some info on it:

If you're buying only the regular DD edition, well, you may be in for a bit more trouble since your disc will only have the DTS edition on it (in addition to the stereo mix as well since a PCM or DD track *must* be on every DVD release per the spec). As we've learned, Bandai and several retailers have learned of this quickly and some retailers are not shipping their stock and instead returning it. Not all of them will know about this right off and as said, some have shipped materials already. Here's Bandai's current statement on the issue, as posted from an email response from their customer service:

"The initial batches have the same issue as yours. We are aware of the issue and are currently looking into it. There seems to be an issue where the two discs were mislabeled. Once this is fixed we will have replacements to those who have the initial batch. Thank you for your patience and you will be updated on the matter."
