My 3 year old Sony 300 made it through Ep IV fine..maybe I was due after having several TV sets with glitches in the last year..we'll see what happens with the set's other 3 discs...Even though the disc played fine here I find it difficult to believe all or most of people's ANH problems are firmware related.

Had the Layer Change problem on my JVC,

but after cleaning the DVD, the problem went away.
