Why is the Star Wars Trilogy silver and not gold? (widescreen)
Hello,
Why is the Star Wars Trilogy (widescreen) silver instead of gold? It doesn't make sense because the first two releases of Episode I and II are gold. Why wouldn't they want to keep it consistent?

They matched the coloring with the VHS releases of the 1997 special editions: platinum for WS, gold for P&S...
Personally, I would have liked them to have matched the other dvds...

I really do not care about the colors, I just wanted them to match the first releases. I have 6 star wars dvds next to eachother and they do not match.

I vastly prefer the silver. The gold is gaudy IMO.

I like the silver. But anyway, i agree they should have matched. Wouldnt be surprised to see a bundle of the prequels come out with the Episode III dvd that matches them.

Because as stated, before the prequels, the trilogy color set was like this. don't fuck with what works.
