I just got the SNL Best of Christopher Walken dvd and i noticed during the "Cowbell" sketch theres a weird flashing going on,at 1st i thought it was just on the background but it also appears on the actors themselves.Other than that the dvd seems fine so is this normal? Or am i just on some bad drugs?

You didn't have the cowbell set high enough. You need more cowbell. Set it to 11.

As I recall this sketch from its broadcast (haven't seen the DVD), the sketch has an "old film" effect applied to it, with "scratches" and stuff on the print (the film is supposed to be "lost" footage from the recording session). Is this, maybe, the "flashing" you're seeing?

yeah its fake artifacts to make it look old.
its the same on the Will Ferrell dvd.

Thanks kdavis,i was worried there for a sec,i did alot of acid back in my highschool days and once and awhile it comes back to haunt me.Loved the dvd though but i could have done without all the whispering from behind my couch.

I am scared about you astrochimp. To call it "lightning" and not realize that it was just suppose to make it look like old footage? I'm just surprised I guess.
