"The Complete MTV Music Video Collection," a 40-DVD box set containing every music video ever aired by MTV, grouped by genre. Load those suckers in a multi-disc player and hit Random, how cool would that be?

Or you could just turn on MTV2 and hit the TiVO button.

I second 'On the Air' and would add 'Police Squad'....although it prolly wouldn't qualify as a box set.

"Get a Life - The Complete Series"

Included would be a bonus companion CD consisting of 3 hours of "Alley Cat" on a continuous loop.

Mad Max box

Well really Mad Max 1 has a nice DVD treatment now but #2, Road Warrior, is overdue for a proper special edition. Beyond Thunderdome doesn't measure up to the first two but it's entertaining enough. Did I hear talk of a part 4? Maybe with that will come a box set with a nice supplements disc.

The Godfather Epic/Saga Box

Coppola's original edit of parts 1 and 2 together putting the time frame of events in chonlogical order. There were many scenes added and also a few scenes cut . I believe it was done for premium cable broadcast. There's a conventional broadcast version of this with dubbed in cleaner language and violence trimmed down. Of course it must be the uncut undubbed version.

Apocalypse now box

The original theatrical cut and the Redux cut. Bonus disc includes the complete "Hearts of Darkness" documentary and the hilarious witty made-for-HBO "Hearts of Hot Shots" mock-umentary

Beatles Mega Box

A Hard days Night
Help
Magical Mystery Tour
Yellow Submarine
How I Won the War
Wonderwall
Give my Regards To Broad Street
The Making of Give My Regards to Broad Street
Bonus disc:
The Promos: The first music videos

The Creature Legacy Box

The Creature from the Black Lagoon
The Revenge of the Creature
The Creature walks among us
....hey this one is actually coming out! how cool! I wish they were giving us TCFTBL in 3D but at least one of my dream box sets is going to be a reality!

I second the Preston Sturges, Ernst Lubitsch, Bunel, & On The Air sets, but my #1 wish would be:

The Billy Wilder: Complete MGM SE set

Yes, I'm aware this was released. And did MGM lift a finger to honor the director that brought them some of their greatest films? No. Aside from including a (weak) Special Edition of Some Like it Hot, every other disc was bare-bones.

How about a documentary on the relavance then-and-now of the office politics presented in The Apartment.

Why not a cinematographer's reflections on the bold choice to make a widescreen B&W film in 1960 and the reasons why that decision was made.

I'd like to see The Flash (CBS series, from i think 1990). Alien Nation would be cool as well. Superboy, also.

A Halloween boxset including remastered versions of the first 7 movies (Yes, I liked H2O). The 8th film doesn't count...and my hopes aren't too high for the 9th.
