I work as the chief A/V buyer for a mid-sized national retailer. I cannot reveal which because I learned a long time ago never to mix internet forums and your professional life. I have a very nice system because I have been getting equipment for cost for over a decade now.

My job is to walk back and forth with a big plate-glass window every couple of minutes.

Jim's job is to make sure we always have plenty of watermelons.

How a serious htread turns into a mockery. You people need to repsect this forum as much as I do and get on track with the thread.

I still do a bit from home, but something full-time is needed soon....

I sit at a desk for about nine or ten hours a day. Sometimes I get up to use the restroom or grab a cup of coffee.

I collect spores, mold and fungus.

But for money I'm in international transportation. Just got promoted to department supervisor, so that's even more DVD money.

I make okay money - but the key is that I'm not married yet and have no kids, which means lots of discretionary income towards dvds (I've also been able to buy a house recently, so it's not like I'm irresponsible with my money).

To be honest, I work for a big auto parts manufacturer; I'm a highly skilled specialist in a limited trade working with both prototype and currently manufactured parts.
I don't want to brag (ahhh, hell yes I do, why not), but I make $30.00 an hour on weekdays, $45 an hour on Saturdays, and $60.00 an hour on Sundays. And holidays are triple-time.
Now that I've gotten rid of the ol' battle axe that was in my life, I can buy all the DVDs I want, and no one bitches.

i collaborated with another writer and we did pitch the idea to nbc, yes. i considered their offer an insult and i had to turn it down unfortunitely. a few years later a japanese tv station also became interested. that deal also fell through in the end.
